About The Ibanez Guitar Centre

On the 16th June 1995 Crossroads Musical Instrument Company began as a retail store in Brighton, Adelaide. The store focused mainly on electric and acoustic guitars however, only minor brands were available to stock due to restrictions in wholesale supply within Australia.

After 4 years of successful trading at low volumes the Ibanez range of guitars was finally obtained as the stores main line of instrument.

2 years on a larger premises within the same group of shops was leased, this gave the opportunity to open an iconic retail store, the Ibanez Guitar Centre.

The store was an immediate success with sales doubling, further increases were experienced every year on. Some of the significant models that have sold through the store over the years are, Steve Vai Jem DNA x 4, Joe Satriani Chrome Boys x 2 old model and the only new version to come to Australia, several Crystal Planets, 20th anniversary Jems, Silver Surfers, even a White Zombie (I wish I still had that one), many many more, too many to mention.

In 2009 further expansion of the retail store was possible through other brands, Gibson guitars were taken on and the store changed its name to Galaxy Guitars to give it a broader name. Full line Fender is also available together with several amplifier brands and acoustic guitars.

The commitment to Ibanez guitars is still a major focus of the store, infact the store holds more models of Ibanez than any other store in Australia.

The Ibanez Guitar Centre carries on as an online retail business supplying quality guitars at the lowest prices in Australia with prompt delivery to your door.

To keep our price low guitars are sent from our central warehouse in Sydney (where all guitars are checked for faults and Ibanez specified set up to ensure the best possible quality and playability is delivered every time) and payments are on a direct Deposit basis.

In 2011 we have managed to supply guitars at a comparable price to those available overseas taking into account freight, taxes and import duties while offering a full 12 month Australian warranty.
